Influencer, 2018

Influencer follows nine photographs as a red circular mark gradually overtakes their surfaces. What begins as a small intervention multiplies until the image becomes subordinate to the symbol, then disappears into a field of branded color. The series examines how visibility, sponsorship, and cultural recognition can reshape an artist’s work, asking when amplification becomes erasure. It confronts the tension between remaining true to one’s practice and becoming increasingly consumable to others.

Nine pigment prints mounted to board. Each: 60 × 60 inches. Framed: 61 3/8 × 60 3/8 × 2 inches.
